DENIA

Discover Dénia - designated UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2015, the city is located on the eastern tip of Spain`s Mediterranean coast.  Dénia is fringed by over 20km  of sandy and rocky beaches and coves, many of which are situated within the national park of the Montgo.

A historic fishing quarter and an old town  full of high quality restaurants serving  a wide range of local dishes made with world-renowned seafood and fresh local produce. Local produce has always been key to Dénia´s gastronomic success: for example, the International Creative Cuisine Competition of the Red Prawn of Dénia attracts over 50 international chefs every year.

Dénia is a Mediterranean coastal city with a fascinating history reflected in its colourful, atmospheric streets, the 8th century castle, and its many fiestas (more than any other town  in Spain), and of course  its people.  Dénia has always welcomed visitors with open arms and attracts  people from all over the world.  With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, wide sandy beaches, amazing bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, Dénia makes everyone feel at home.

Some of the best restaurants, including the new Els Magazinos "street of bars and food", are a 5 minute walk away, as is the popular Calle Loreto, aka Tapas Street, with its excellent late-night tapas bars and  restaurants. The main shopping area, Calle Marques de Campo and the surrounding streets , with their stylish clothes and shoe shops, bars and restaurants are also, yes, you´ve guessed it, a 5 minute walk away, accessed through the historic castle tunnel.
